CHARACTER DESIGNS
I started this project by illustrating several different bananas, fitting each with different expressions, costumes, and movements while still keeping the color palette homogenous. Initial sketches were scanned and further developed to colored illustrations through Procreate. The overall color scheme and finalized characters are included below.
PACKAGING DESIGN
Bananas! is a fictional subscription service that provides customers with delicious bananas. Like many other recurring subscription services, Banans! delivers a full box of bananas each calendar month. Boxes also contain collectable stickers and a sheet of instructions for a quick at-home cooking project. These banana-inspired instructions, of course, are simple to follow and perfect for any banana connoisseur. Anyone can jump in and no cooking experience is necessary. Let’s go bananas!
All elements of the packaging design echo previously created character designs. The color palettes from before were carried over, and the banana characters have also been incorporated in the outer packaging.
